Keep your sink, water, shower drains clean and clear by following some prevention tips:
5. Catch hair and jewelry before it ends up down the drain by using a strainer and cleaning it often. NEVER use Drain-O to clear hair or other clogs from your drains.
4. Keep a trashcan in your bathroom. Diapers, feminine products and even tissue or heavy toilet paper don't dissove and shouldn't be flushed and may even cause toilet clogs.
3. Use your trash can instead of your garbage disposal for oil, grease, celery, banana peels and poultry skins. Oils solidify and stringy or rubbery foods refuse to grind.
2. Install child locks as appropriate to keep toddlers from flushing toys, clothing and other items down the toilet.
